My Story Isn't Over Yet...

Why hello!

My name is Kirsty McCrilly.

Creative designer, web developer, coffee lover and consultant.

If someone had told me when I left school that I would be working as a freelancer helping businesses within Northern Ireland with their marketing and branding, I would have laughed them off!

But look at me now!

Working with the most amazing businesses and getting to share the tip and tricks I have picked up on over the years. Meeting fascinating, empowering people and learning new things for myself as I go!

Marketing wasn't my original choice of career?

Originally I wanted to study Film Studies. Yip I had big plans to be the female Tim Burton.

So what changed?

I went to local university for an opening day and so disappointed with the film studies criteria. It sounded a bit boring to be honest. So I went back to school and looked at some other options.

That’s how I found Interactive Multimedia Design. From the title alone I was intrigued and I had no clue what it even meant. But I did my research and it sounded perfect…nerdy enough to meet my needs and interesting enough to keep me on my toes. I loved it!!

So..the basics..

I am a mum of four which means my management and organisation skills have been perfected to a fine art.

I’m the mum who hand makes their kids birthday invitations, decorations and I love it! I love being able to show off my creative side.

To me, being creative is not a hobby, it is a way of life!

I graduated from University of Ulster, with a degree in Interactive Multimedia Design. I have worked within the marketing industry for over 10 years both in house and as part of an agency.

I have worked with some of the most amazingly talented teams who have helped me to fine tune my skills and helped me to grow as a freelancer.
